Dubbo and District Computer Club

The Dubbo and District Computer Club welcomes you to our site. We are a community based club for members to meet and share information about computers and technology. We are not all geeks, and you don't have to know much about computers to join us. We are friendly and as we do have some experts among us, beginners can ask them for help.

Its amazing what can happen from getting involved with others who share a common interest.

We are a social group that meets monthly to share activities, information and knowledge. We discuss members queries, issues and problems with computers, plan activities, hold working bees and workshops. We aim to benefit the members and the general community through the sharing of information and skills and by the interaction of the club with the community and other organisations, through our website.

And we aim to have fun doing all of it.

The DDCC is a non profit, unincorporated association of local members. Membership includes individuals with their own business's, IT professionals, computer enthusiasts and beginners.

The club is administered by a committee of six: President, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Activities Officer, Publicity Officer and Treasurer. There is also a Project Officer responsible for the organisation of ongoing club projects. AGM's are held each year in July to re-elect a new committee and we encourage all members to take a turn being elected to become a member of the committee.

Monthly Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings start at 7 pm. New members may attend 2 meetings at no charge. All members must fill in an application form for registration and insurance purposes. For more information please ring Darryl (Dassa) Lynch on 0408 284 300

Features of our regular monthly meetings are:

• Members queries and technical problems.
• Presentations or demonstrations (subject to prior arrangement).
• Excursions to pre-arranged sites (organised by the Activities Oficer). General discussions on computer related topics.
• Other club topics and club officers reports.

Club Lunches are held twice a month at various venues in Dubbo. Members may select and choose where these will occur at the monthly meetings. In the past, the Club has held other social events such as a river cruise at Christmas, BBQ's and visits to Burrendong Dam. The club normally holds a Christmas Party each year with excess funds.
